Connect 2016!!

As my eyes scanned the registration lists from past Connect conferences, I had to stop and do a double take as I read her name. Sabrina. Sabrina attended Connect in 2012. She also died in the metro attack on March 22nd of this year.

All of the emotions came flooding back as we meditated on a verse in the first session of the “Inner Life” class taught by Chuck & Sally Haavik at Connect.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

It was as if the Lord brought my attention back to that list and reminded me that in spite of all the shaking that is going on around us, He is God! Yes, Sabrina is no longer with us, but she was with us for a time – just like the hundreds of other students that have gone through Connect. Connecting with these students & leaders and at the same time providing a sacred space for us all to connect with God is one of the most important things we do.

A testimony from Facebook:

This conference truly changed my life. Taught me so many things at so many levels, changed my point of view at God’s reasons and purposes. Looking at things from God’s perspective, experiencing new things and learning so many things. Thanks Steven and Jennifer Cuttino’s for prayers about me and God’s will. Also so excited about meeting so many young people living for God and searching His kingdom. Thanks Kirk for your worship workshop. It really helped me to look at it from different point of view and realising that my attitude wasn’t always right. Already missing many people that I met there but also excited to reach out to students from our city. Thanks everyone who were part of this amazing conference and also thanks God for being the main part of it. 🙂

This is why we do what we do! Thank you for your financial support and prayer to make it happen.
