student small group meeting
Blair leading a small group meeting in Greece

While serving three years (1995-1998) in local churches in French-speaking Belgium, we sensed God’s urgent call to the university students of Europe. In the fall semester of 2000 we co-launched Students for Christ – Belgium, with one group in the city of Louvain-la-Neuve and a second group in Brussels. Since that time, SFC-Belgium has grown to include groups on 4 different campuses and contacts in several other university towns. After 10 years of co-leading SFC-Belgium, our colleagues and leadership asked us to coordinate the network of the Assemblies of God university ministries in Europe. So, after much prayer and counsel, we moved into the new role of SFC-Europe coordinators in August 2010.

Our goal as campus ministry leaders is to reconcile students to Christ, transforming the university, the marketplace and the society in which we live. To do this, we are building a sense of community characterized by lasting friendships, practical demonstrations of our faith and quality answers to the big questions of life. We also invest in student leaders who in turn will disciple others. All of this takes lots of time and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Yet as we help students position themselves for encounters with Jesus, they are experiencing the reality of God and being changed into Christ-followers…one person at a time.

Pray with us for wisdom, open doors, and divine favor as we reach out to the university students of Europe.
