Embracing New Frontiers

It looks as if fall weather has finally found its way to south Louisiana where we have been itinerating for the last few months. We are so very grateful for the meetings we’ve had with supporting churches and individuals, both long-time and new, and with some of our family. We do not take these times for granted!

During each itineration cycle, which occurs on average every four years, we take time to ask the Lord what He would have us do in the next term. This year, we have been even more focused on this answer as we have reached a season in our lives when we no longer have children at home (how in the world did that happen?!), and we are slowly transitioning the leadership of Students for Christ- Europe to the next generation. As we’ve considered some options, the best scenario for us right now is to stay put in Belgium, the country we love and have called home for the last thirty years.

At the same time, we have been asked to consider helping with univeristy ministry development in 2 additional regions of the world: the French-speaking province of Queébec, Canada, and another sensitive area. As we have traveled to each of these zones in the last year, we see the Lord already beginning to orchestrate encounters with key people, opening wide the dorrs of opportunity in each context. This kind of “confirmation” is huge to us. So, as our next term begins, we will continue making strategic forays into both territories while we maintain our home base in Namur, Belgium.

To complete our vital fund-raising season here in the US, we have recently been made aware of an incredible opportunity with a Hope Gives campaign. On Tuesday, the 2nd of December, any unique gift of $5 or more will be matched with $50! That means for a gift of $5, we receive $55. And for a gift of $50, we receive $100! What a tremendous way to maximize the impact of giving with purpose! We feel this is a great way to finish our budget goal so we are inviting you to prayerfully consider participating.

(Edited: While the multiplier has finished, the Hope Gives campaign is still open. Thanks for your consideration!)

Grateful for you and your partnership in reaching places where the Gospel is least known,
