December 2012: Fun at Work and Hard at Play!

I couldn’t have received any better news on my arrival to visit colleagues in Thessaloniki, Greece. Two students who had recently made a commitment to follow Christ had also just been baptized that afternoon in the Aegean Sea. As the circumstances turned out, these two young people were to be in attendance at the student small group that evening. And I was being given the privilege of speaking at this meeting of young minds! It was a superb start to wonderful few days of re-connection and remembering what God had done and is doing in a country that is currently experiencing much upheaval on various levels of society.

After an extremely busy year, the Bonin bunch took to the slopes in the Austrian Tyrol for a week of playing hard and romping through the snowy paths in the village of Hoch-Imst, 1100 meters up…quite the heights for Cajuns from Louisiana’s flatlands and bayous!
