This past week we hosted Pastor Lee Shipp from First New Testament Church in Baton Rouge, La. Pastor Lee was a blessing to Belgium as he ministered in a chapel service at Continental Theological Seminary, a day-long teaching seminar for SFC Belgium, and the Sunday morning service at our home church in Gembloux.
A lot of planning & preparation went into the “Boost your Faith” teaching day for SFC-Belgium held in downtown Brussels which attracted students from 5 different university cities. Pastor Lee shared an inspirational message in the morning and afternoon. There were also workshops taught by SFC Brussels colleague Charles Gravely and 2 former SFC students who are now in the workplace. They shared their knowledge and expertise in finances, time management, and how to navigate 21st century attitudes toward sexuality – 3 big areas of concern for university students! Dina, with Josiah’s help, organized a meal for the 40+ attendees. It was a great day seeing a new generation of university students get excited about the Bible and learning how they can be more effective in spiritual and practical ways.
