Proverbs 17:6

If you are very familiar with the book of Proverbs, you may have caught the hint about the biggest news of the last few months. If not, we’re grandparents! Felicity Grace Langley was born on the 27th of January 2020, and life will never be the same again. As The Message translation says, “Old people are distinguished by grandchildren.” 🙂 We thank the Lord that she and her parents are doing well. We are also looking forward to being even more “distinguished” as we await the birth of Baby Johnson in May.

Global Prayer Initiative – Midland, Michigan

In January, we had the privilege of attending Christian Celebration Center’s monthly prayer meeting for missions. Pastors Pat & Kristine, and Kristi, our Europe rep, along with Pastors Matt & Nancy and the rest of the Europe team, were incredible hosts. We will always remember their love for the world & prayer for the nations!

We also enjoyed some well-timed snow & a National Championship football game while we were there. Geaux Tigers!

Most Sundays we can be found speaking in churches about the opportunities for student ministry and the impact your prayer and giving has made on students across Europe and around the world. We’re thankful for the warm welcome we’ve received in places like Midland and Auburn Hills, MI; Anahuac, TX; as well as the Louisiana towns of Lone Pine, Sikes, Lake Charles, Covington, Harrisonburg, Greenwell Springs & Baton Rouge.

Students for Christ – Europe activity continues with the annual Prayer Weekend held in Austria the last weekend of January. This year’s attendance included the highest number of European nationals to date. The planning for SFC’s annual training event, CONNECT, is also in full swing. We are grateful for technology that allows us to stay involved, even from south Louisiana.

Thank you for praying as we pass the halfway point of our itineration year:

  • For continued health & safety as we travel, and especially for Blair who has been dealing with some pinched nerve pain possibly related to long car/airplane rides.
  • For CONNECT which takes place in July. For wisdom & creativity in planning and anointed teachers, students, children’s workers, logistics, provision, etc.
  • For our family – Callie, Stuart & Felicity in Kentucky; for Claire, Caleb & Baby Johnson (expected in early May) in Texas; for Evangeline in Oregon; for Christopher here at LSU; David at Southwestern AG University in Texas; and Josiah, still schooled at home. Please pray also for our parents who have health challenges.
We remember you in our prayer, and thank our God for you!
