Two Months Later. . .

Today marks 8 weeks back in Belgium. The transition has been very smooth for us albeit a bit slow. We are extremely grateful to be able to stay in an apartment in the European Ministries Center located in the Waterloo area as the house hunt has not been as quick as we had hoped. The demand for rental properties is the highest we have ever seen it here, and as a result, housing options are limited and expensive.

Our search for a car has been much more fruitful – Thank you, Speed the Light! We did find one to buy and thought we would be able to drive it home within the week. However, three weeks later, we’re still waiting to pick it up so pictures will be forthcoming!

Any other year and these things might be big hindrances to the work we’re called to do, but because we’re in 2021, it’s all good. In-person meetings are still restricted and stringent travel curtailment has increased until the first of March. In these various holding patterns of life and ministry we say with David the psalmist: “[We] remain confident of this: [we] will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Ps. 27:13-14)

So we wait and “zoom” on!

Prayer Needs

Annual SFC Prayer Weekend Night

This Saturday we will be meeting, not in Rotterdam as originally planned, but online for our annual gathering of SFC leaders from across Europe to pray together for the upcoming year. Please pray with us for a refreshing time with colleagues and against any technical glitches. Thank you!

Visas for Belgium

This past year, it has come to our attention that Belgian laws for immigration have changed making it very difficult for many colleagues to obtain visas. Blair will be meeting with lawyers this week to check on the status of some dossiers with hope for adequate administrative paths toward viable solutions. Please pray with us for favor.

Ministry opportunities

While in-person meetings aren’t allowed, we’ve still have opportunities to share in video calls and live & pre-recorded broadcasts, with new dates scheduled pretty regularly. Thanks for praying for these future meetings.

Thankful for recent invitations from Brussels Christian Center for Blair to speak during the Sunday morning service that was broadcast live and for Dina to share with the ladies of their Moms in Prayer group.

Thank you for being an encouraging part of the team that’s bringing hope in the world where many are feeling unsure about the future. Your text messages, emails, prayer and financial giving bless us daily! Thank you!
